One Week!

Yay! We're home and happy and healthy! So many aspects of this go around have been so much more enjoyable and so different in so many ways and we are so entirely grateful for such a huge blessing in our lives!

Here's the happy family with our newest arrival!!

Before we became a family of four...

He's here!! Let me tell you (and I've saved the pix for another post...) that Abigail and Daniel looked almost identical at birth!! I couldn't believe how much of Abigail I saw in Daniel. The boy was immediately all screams even before he was entirely out.

The overjoyed grandparents with beaming daddy...

Announcing Daniel Robert Morales born on Thursday, June 10, 2010, 10:07am at 8.15 lbs. and 19.5 in.

Abigail couldn't wait to meet her new baby brother. She proudly walked into the hospital with her toy lion that she was going to give to her brother as a welcome gift and she immediately wanted to hold him. As soon as we gave her the opportunity to "hold" him, she showered him with kisses, completely unprompted. She loves to just rub his cheeks and mimic his noises.

We had some pretty incredible nurses. Lisa McCusker from our church was an angel to have with me throughout the surgery! To know you have someone who cares for you on a personal level in surgery with you is so comforting. We were able to pray together numerous times and I was able to see Lisa in action in her job. Then we had a wonderful nurse, Jessica, who I got the pleasure of having tend to our family for the entire time we were in recovery. Again, what a blessing to have such wonderful care!

And of course we had our share of visitors - all the Aunts and Uncles...

Our handsome lil' man ready to go home...

Abby is so cute! She won't leave Daniel alone, in a good way. She just wants to hold his hands, kiss his nose, pat his back and the like.

Isn't he just perfection?!!
Now that we've been home we're adjusting to the new routines and the changes. We love being a full family - both of us home with our children and enjoying the moments to the fullest! My recovery is going swimmingly - almost 100% today!
