Happy "Da" & "Pa" Day!

Happy Father's Day Robbie! Abby told me how much she enjoyed spending time with you today. She really loved how cute you dressed her up and she loved how perfectly you put her barrett in her hair today! She's sad that you are at basketball this afternoon, but can't wait to see you when you get home! She told me she LOVES YOU SOOOOOOO VERY, VERY MUCH!!!

She enjoyed relaxing today with Grandpa Kalla in his new hammock that he got for Father's Day.

She also kept pointing out all the bee's in the backyard! She is really starting to try and communicate with words and it's cute when she gets one down. She now says "bir" for bird, "ba" for put it back, "bal" (less emphasis on the L) for ball, "chee" for cheese, and she's got bee down! In fact, she's so certain with bee that she says it like she's warning you about a swarm coming your way and you better watch out - BEEEEE! Listen for yourself...

We are so blessed!

My mom was a working mom and made it look like a piece of cake! We felt loved, taken care of, and we always had wonderful daycare. So naturally, when I went back to work I thought I would have a similar experience - to still be able to love on my lil' one and make sure that she is always under another caring eye. I didn't know how truly blessed I would be through this process! Robbie and I have had family members and friends step in, all at the most perfect times. I have only had a handful of days where I've had to bring Abigail to work with me or go in late or leave early to wait for the passing of the baton.

Since going back to work I have had both grandma's watching Abby weekly, my sister step in from time to time, Hailey Miller from church (when she's home from college) and her mom Patty, Susan Dubensky, Crystal and Austin Barnett, and Carmen and Lilly Robillard.

This week was another example of God's provision for quality care for my baby. Normally, Crystal and Austin entertain my little one every week on Tuesdays, but this week they are in Texas (and missed!), so we were needing to fill the void. Our sweet friends Fawna and her household of cuties stepped in and watched Abby for us. She got a chance to play with the twins, Nolan and Chase, and babble and chat with Gianna.

As you can see, she enjoyed even feeding Chase his blueberries ;)



And then after Abby was with Fawna and the kids, she went to another home in our neighborhood of 4S Ranch. She got to go play with the other Lilly, with her mom Andrea Hamilton. I love that she has been able to have the opportunity to play with other kiddos throughout the weeks!





A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has watched my baby while I'm away at work. There is a season for everything and this season of being a working mom has treated me quite well I'd have to say - and for that I am forever grateful!


One last thing (sorry this post is so long...) - I couldn't pass up these cute pics! Abby has found a fascination in shoes. Not only does she always want to try and put her socks and shoes on, she also wants to put your shoes on you or even her. She puts her cute tiny feet in my big shoes and I can't help but think how stinkin' adorable she looks (stinkin' doesn't refer to the shoes ;) I caught her laying my shoes in a line on the stairs in front of her and then "trying on" each shoe while sitting on the stair....so CUTE!

Toddling...

Ok, so I've been scolded for not getting a video up of Abigail's walking since she's been officially toddling for about two and a half weeks now! It was a long process - she was extremely hesitant to go a farther distance than just from the couch to the coffee table for example. She finally figured out how to push herself up on her own and then was flying from then on. Here's a couple of clips of her progression to walking!

This is simply Abby just standing on her own and letting go for just one or two steps (end of March)...



Then she was brave enough to go a couple more steps in between locations (mid April)...



...To finally toddling from place to place - now she doesn't want to stop!!

Zoo x 2

We had such a great time at the Zoo the first time, that we couldn't resist going again and this time taking some friends with us! Thanks Crystal and Brandon for coming with us and bringing Abby's friend Austin!

We couldn't miss out on the famous giraffes ;)

Abby was fascinated by this jaguar, that was pretty scary looking!

We missed out on visiting the Aviary last weekend, so Abby was super excited to see all the birds. Imagine hearing "Bir-, bir-, bir-" over and over again. In fact, there was a bird that was out in the middle of the walkway, so we decided to let Abby get out and walk towards it...but then, Austin decided to run at it and it got chased away ;) The saddest part though was it made Abby cry because she couldn't follow the bird past the bars. So silly...

We couldn't neglect our own animal that thankfully doesn't belong in the zoo, so Abby played ball with Libby for a while!
