Challenging

I have a sweet brother-in-law, Andy, who has been very interested in hearing more about me. It’s frustrating how that request has me stumped a lot of time. I often will attempt to begin a post to share something about myself and I find myself always stopping half way through because I feel like I need to be more insightful, more eloquent, more interesting. I don’t like the way it sounds and then I start all over again. Why? I guess perhaps I don’t find myself all that interesting. I’m on Twitter and I think I maybe put something tweet-worthy once a week or something because I feel ordinary and who wants to hear about ordinary? I am content with my mellow life, with my mellow child and husband. We like to laugh, relax, and keep things low key. I’m just a happy camper and I wouldn’t have it any other way (….well, maybe move to working part time so I can spend more time with my baby, but that’s about all :) So, maybe if I think of anything interesting I’ll jot it down real quick and share more. But for now, this is me, plain and simple and very happy.

GRANDAD 101

On Sunday we had the lovely opportunity to go visit with Robbie's grandad. George is such a comedian and he's still making everyone laugh. He does use the same joke a couple different times, but the family still loves to hear them and it's fun to hear them egg him on. Abby almost got him in trouble a couple times when she went to push his "watch" which would have sent ambulances heading our way - luckily she never pushed hard enough and we were able to catch her in time for no false alarms! We had a great time visiting!




This little piggy....George also sang his song to her many times - we got some of it on film, but not enough that would be worth posting :(

"Cuddling" with Robbie's Aunt Corrie

Playing with Cousin Brittany who introduced to her how to throw the fish food to the fish in the pond....she wouldn't leave it, she loved feeding the fish.

Cameron had just been in a grueling rugby tournament the day before, including having to go in for stitches on his eye. Needless to say, the boy needed some rest and Abby just stood there watching him for a while.....then she thought he might need Mickey to keep him company in his sweet dreams.

Happy 100th Post :)

Ok, so Robbie made the big mistake of telling me that my next post would be my 100th post. I've been mulling over and over of what creative thing I could do for my 100th post.....well, I'm over it now. So I'll leave you with this:

One Beautiful Girl!

Happy 7-8-9 Day

Ok, so I'm a little late on wishing you a Happy 4th of July, so why not celebrate this one time occasion...Happy July 8th of 2009 day ;) So, Robbie's joke he came up with today was "Why is 6 affraid of 7? Because 7 8 9 !"....hahaha....that's Robbie for ya!

Anyways...We had a great day on the 4th!! We celebrated Abby's friend Lily's first birthday at a local park and we had such a great time in the sun. The kids enjoyed running around and eating watermelon and boy were they toasted!!

Happy Birthday Ms. Lily - and proud parents Gavin and Carmen! Abby couldn't resist getting in on all the presents - especially when she saw her favorite book, which we got a copy for Lily for her birthday!

Afterwards we joined our HomeGroup at the Barnett's house for a bbq dinner and lots and lots of fun (even without fireworks for some ;)

Abby's new favorite thing right now is to say her name! So adorable! You can hear it if you call our house phone and listen to the answering machine message. She's enjoying spending lots of time with her daddy and has even said Daddy instead of just da. She will sing with us now when we sing in the car or in the bath tub. She loves to hear her own voice - I don't blame her - it's the cutest sound I've heard! :)
